Come see AEPS-3 at DEC!

Published

Will you be attending the Division for Early Childhood (DEC) annual conference in New Orleans this month? Held from September 17–20, the 40th Annual International Conference on Young Children with Disabilities and Their Families is set to focus on The Future of Inclusive Practices: Creating Equitable Access, Participation, and Supports. And it’s a great chance to learn more about AEPS®-3!

Attend the session. On Wednesday, September 18, be sure to attend the informative session on “Assessing the Validity of a Fidelity Checklist for AEPS-3.” Presented by doctoral student Cameron Tyrrell and AEPS-3 co-developer Jennifer Grisham, this session focuses on implementation fidelity, an important factor in field testing a new version of any curriculum. The presenters designed a fidelity checklist for the AEPS-3 curriculum and conducted a content validity study with AEPS-3 developers and users. Attend the session to learn about the results from that survey, and gather ideas for other ways online surveys can validate curricula.

And don’t miss these other sessions that will highlight AEPS-3:

International Perspectives on Supporting Young Children with Disabilities

Authentic Assessment Practices to Support Child Development

Stop by the Brookes booth. Between sessions, come by the exhibit hall and pay a visit to Brookes Publishing, longtime publisher of AEPS. We’ll have AEPS-3 on display for you to browse, and we’ll be giving conference attendees a special inside look at the new AEPSi, the fully redesigned online management system. See first-hand how AEPSi helps you shorten assessment time, automatically score the test, generate helpful summaries and graphs, conduct aggregate reporting, meet OSEP reporting mandates, determine and/or corroborate eligibility for services, and more.

Save on early childhood resources. In addition to AEPS-3, we’ll have our newest early childhood books and resources on display at DEC! Stop by the Brookes booth to stock up on practical new titles for your program and take advantage of special conference savings.

We’re looking forward to talking with you more at DEC and answering any questions you have about AEPS-3 and AEPSi. See you in New Orleans!
