What is the cost per child for using AEPSi?
|
AEPSi is available as an annual subscription, and the subscription fee is based on a specific number of child records in the system for a given year. Each subscription comes with free 24/7 technical support for Registered Users, on-line tutorials, and special discounts on Brookes print products. An additional one-time set-up fee covers what subscribers need to get started using the system.
The subscription is billed annually at the following rate:
- 1-100 children @ $19.95 per child record per year
- 101-250 children @ $18.95 per child record per year
- 251-500 children @ $16.95 per child record per year
- 501-1000 children @ $15.95 per child record per year
- 1001+ children: call Brookes for a subscription model to meet your needs
If subscribers are part of a larger entity (such as programs or schools in the same district, or districts in the same state), they may combine their numbers of child records to achieve cost savings. The OSEP Report and all standard AEPS reports are provided at no extra charge.

Are there different levels of pricing for AEPS and AEPSi? Is there additional cost for OSEP reporting? Do programs need to purchase a special kit or premium package for more bells and whistles?
|
Purchasing AEPS and AEPSi is straightforward and cost-effective. We recommend that programs using AEPS for the first time purchase a subscription to AEPSi; copies of the AEPS Administration Guide, Test, and Curriculum books for each Registered User; and training. The books are a one-time purchase, and the AEPSi subscription is renewable on an annual basis and includes free OSEP reporting. A one-time set-up fee covers all administrative start-up costs for AEPSi. And everyone gets all of the bells and whistles; no separate kit or additional materials are required.

What ongoing costs, such as web maintenance, will be charged for AEPS and AEPSi?
|
Other than the annual subscription fee for AEPSi, there are no ongoing costs associated with using AEPS and AEPSi. Archiving data for children who have exited your program is optional and available for $1.00 per child record per year, with the first 10% of the total number of your child records free. Other customizable services, such as custom reports and data imports, are available for modest service fees; contact your sales representative for a price quote. These customizable services will continue to be enhanced with new releases of AEPSi.
|
If I subscribe to AEPSi, do I still need the printed AEPS materials?
|
Yes. We recommend that each Registered User have the full set of the AEPS print volumes (whether the Birth to Three Set, the Three to Six set, or the complete AEPS set). These volumes include essential information on how to use the AEPS Test and Curriculum for assessment and intervention and serve as an important resource for providers in their first years using AEPS. A thorough reading of the books, together with on-site instruction by experienced AEPS experts, will enable your staff to use the system proficiently and successfully to improve child outcomes.
|
What components of AEPS are consumable and need to be reordered regularly?
|
We offer three packages of consumable forms for AEPS at each level (Birth to Three and Three to Six): the Child Observation Data Recording Form, the Child Progress Record, and the Family Report. Ordering these consumable form packages is completely optional; these forms are able to be photocopied for free from the AEPS Administration Guide (Volume 1) and are also available as PDF printable masters on CD-ROM (a one-time purchase price).
AEPSi subscribers will be able to customize and download the Child Observation Data Recording Form free of charge, and the Child Progress Record will be automatically populated as the on-line assessments are completed, also free of charge. A web-based version of the Family Report is forthcoming.
